Cautus Avalanche Radar

Cautus Avalanche Radar is a radar-based measuring system for monitoring and forecasting of avalanches and landslides. The main component of the system is a Doppler-based radar that detects and measures speed, scope and duration of events. The system is available as both a temporary and mobile system or as a permanent installation.

The avalanche system is also available with an integrated camera that starts recording upon detection of a slide. All measurement data and videos are available on the web in near real time via Cautus Web.

With this system, detected avalanches and landslides can trigger light, sound, or dynamic signs on location as well as send SMS and email alerts.
